Help those communities affected by the floods, here is a list of organisations accepting donations to assist those impacted:
Their emergency services team and volunteers are in full force across evacuation centres, providing meals and support. After the initial emergency response, the Salvation Army will remain to ensure the many local communities affected are supported practically and emotionally through recovery and rebuild.
Donations to the Qld and NSW Floods Appeal will help the Red Cross to provide vital humanitarian support to the people and communities affected by the floods. Based on an ongoing needs assessment in Queensland and NSW and the amount raised, that support may include enabling volunteers and staff to help with evacuation and relief centres and outreach service, as well as supporting people and communities to recover and to build resilience to future disasters.
People wanting to donate or help are asked to take advantage of the official partnership between the NSW Government and national not-for-profit GIVIT. The NSW Government and GIVIT will work together alongside charities to assess and advise what critical and immediate material support is needed. They will also assist with managing donated money and offers of goods and services.
